For Israeli martial arts, learn Krav Maga. But to see how KARATE is Hebrew, read on.

The entry:

KARATE    Yod-Dalet  +  Resh-Yod-Koof     YaD + RaiQ

YUHD + RAKE __ ריק +_  יד_[Y-D + RK à KR + TY]

ROOTS:  KARATE,  空手 in Kanji , is the most well-known form of Japanese martial arts.  It is authentically pronounced kah-rah-tay.

This weaponless discipline is named kara (empty) + te (hand). Asian words are more likely to reverse the Edenic.

Japanese  手 te, pronounced 'tay' is the reverse of יד  YaD (hand - Genesis 27:22 – Dental shift from D to T);

Japanese  空  kara (empty)  is likeריק   RaYQ (empty—Genesis 37:24) read left-to-right.  The related Japanese verb is akeru (to empty).

More Resh-Koof at LACKING, more Yod-Dalet at JET.

Another “bare, empty” word with a guttural-Resh is from ערה GHaRaH (to pour out – Isaiah 53:12 -- see GORE.

This constitutes a synonym-by-reversal of our Resh-guttural word.

So Arabic khawi (empty) might be either from  ערה GHaRaH,

or  a reversed ריק RayQ, empty.

BRANCHES:  A) For the Hebrew 'hand' see JET. Japanese ude is an arm; יד   YaD is arm or hand. Chinese tuo means support with the palm or hand.

The verb 'to hand' is ti in Chinese.   The Nepali hand is haat.  Hand, the noun, is t'ai for the Indians of Northwestern Washington State.  Perhaps the Eskimo hand, adgak, is related too.

A scientist defending Edenics put the odds of “empty hand” being similar in Japanese and Hebrew in the following terms: “Yet the Japanese is a compound word, so the correlation is really 1:10 000 x 1:10 000 or 1: 100 000 000.”

If Japanese te means 'hand,' it makes sense that Japanese “ten” (to) is from than same hand word. Many global words for five and ten and Edenic 'hand' words. See MITT and PUGNACIOUS.

Chinese “ten” is ju, following the Yod as  J mode. But a Chinese end-dental with be replaced by an accent.

B) More guttural-liquid nothingness at CRACK. רק   RahQ means “only” as in “nothing else but the object in question.”  A RAKE is a dissolute, profligate and wasted man. The human extensions of  ריק  RaiYQ (empty) involve 'men of low character' (Judges 11:3) and 'worthless and reckless fellows' in Judges 9:4. These ריקים  RaiYQiYM or RAKES (scoundrels) are akin to the

ריקה  RaYQaH (good for nothing).

The same Japanese kara (empty) is in KARAOKE  (empty orchestra).

RK and KR relatives of  RQ emptiness include רוח  Ra(V)aK[H] (space, interval),  חור K[H]OAR (hole, cave),    קרחQeRaK[H] (bald, empty of hair),  עקר   [A]QahR (barren) and, the more obvious ones like   הריק HeyReeYQ (to empty, pour out).

Shifting liquids from Resh-Koof/RQ to LK, note the “empty’ words, displaying a LACK, like LACUNA or LAKE at HOLLOW.
Here's hoping that Obama isn't Jimmy Carter II,
and Egypt isn't Iran II.
