Roots

Light, open weave cotton was named after their place of origin - the Gaza Strip on the lower Israeli coastline. [A]ZaH or GHaZaH was once peopled by the savage Philistines, lending little nobility to all who might call themselves Palestinians. Mentioned as early as Genesis10:4 and as late as Zechariah9:5, [A]ZaH (Gaza) provides us with a topical reminder to pronounce the Ayin as a hard G.  Ayin-Zayin means strong. See GESUNDHEIT.
