Roots

The AHD’s “root” for INNOCENCE is death, nek- 1.  The reverse of Edenic innocence,Tahf-Mem TahM (Genesis 25:27) , is  Mem-Tahf  MaiT (he died – see CHECKMATE).

Historical linguists are too ignorant of theology to be making an ironic point. They simply felt that INNOCENT  sounded like “innocuous” (without harm, something that won’t kill).  They are not guiltless of being unaware of NaQeey  (pure, clean, innocent, guiltless – Exodus 23:7). NaKaH is morally pure andd clean, excempt from punishment ( Exodus 21:19) or guilt (Numbers 5:31).

The vowel heard befoe the NK root is not the negative prefix, but may be the Yod/Y of NaQeeY having moved to the front with an M312 metathesis. See the Old Irish below.

Branches

The Old Irish ennac, innocent, is also not a negative NOXIOUS word, but a scramble of NaQeeY. Innocent in Japanese requires a nasal shift and an M132: mujaki.

The alleged “cognates” of INNOCENT in the AHD include: INTERNECINE, N OCENT, NOCUOUS, NOXIOUS, NUISANCE and OBNOXIOUS. The NOXIOUS NK root may come from a guttural shift of NaG[A]h,, to strike smite…as with a plague (I Samuel 6:9).  Any plague word would be associated with death (Latin  necare, to kill) and corpses (Greek nekros, source of NECROMANCY and NECTARINE).
