The traditional welcome to Hawaai used to include a wreath of flowers called a LEI.

LEIS are the plural for this necklace of flowers.  

ליה   LoaYaH is a wreath or garland  (I Kings 7:29) ;  the plural in that verse is Lamed-Yod-Vav—Sahf or   ליות   LoaYOA(S).
