Roots

Greek nostos (a return home) is linked to the Indo-European “root” nes (to return safely home).

1. Nai$ or the infinitive NOO$ means to "flee" (Numbers10:35) or to escape (danger and return safely). 2. Returning, as back to the birds nest, could be a NEST word. NooTSaH means to be covered with feathers. NOATSah, feather, plumage is related to Akkadian naisu, feather, plumage.

Branches

HARNESS is a cognate of NOSTALGIA; it is said to link up with Old Norse nest (food for a journey). NEST, where birds return home,  is the second possibly.

In Cantonese, the Chinese of Hong Kong, san (NS reversed) means scattered and dispersed; the opposite of returning home.

Tsadi/TS becomes a D in Aramaic and her linguistic descendents. Reverse the Noon-Tsadi of feathers, therefore, to feel DOWN (feathers).
