Edenic Word

Hebrew Word

[OWR → OR]

One can either accept the given source of this conjunction (Anglo-Saxon othth - a form of "other") OR the Edenic או   OaW – Genesis 24:49 (or).  The Italian or, o,  has it best.  In New England the R in OR is merely pronounced as a weak W  (see NEW).

This  observation allows ו Vav or W to stand in for an R.  WR is like one letter – see WRONG.  More often it is the Resh shifting to W – see NEW. Another way to OR (an alternative or another)  requires reading the Het softly of   אחר A[K]HeR (other -- Deuteronomy 20:5,6, 7).

Other Vav (O, V, W) to R changes are documented at CHECKMATE, CZAR and MORTAL.  Specifically, Aleph-Vav seems to become the OR in FORM (morphology)  and MORPH (form) – see the end of the PANE entry.   (Note how MORPH and FORM are another set of backwards synonyms.)  Reverse to reu for "or" in Thai. The Dutch "or" is closer to Aleph-Vav/ OaV.  The Spanish and Italian "or" is also o. Chinese “or” is huo. In Cantonese, the conjunction that sounds like OR, or “wore,” means “and.” [George Chen]

אחר A[K]Her (other)  may be behind “there” words, like THERE and OTHER, since “there” is the  “other”, further alternative to “ here.”  “There” in Rumanian is acolo, merely a liquid shift from AK[H[eR (other).  If, in other Romance languages, the “C” in Rumanian has gone silent,  we might surmise that Aleph-Het-Resh is behind la (there) is French and Italian.

Bible Verses

Genesis 24:49 ועתה אם־ישׁכם עשׂים חסד ואמת את־אדני הגידו לי ואם־לא הגידו לי ואפנה על־ימין או על־שׂמאל׃

“‘And now if ye will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me; and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left.’” (JPS)
