Roots

The Indo-European “root” for PLASTIC is pele- 2 (flat, to spread). This is too close to another confused Indo-European “root,”  plat (to spread) seen at PLAZA.  Greek plassein

is to mold, spread out.

פרץ   PaRaTS is to "spread abroad" (Genesis28:14). While the ר  Resh/R has shifted luiquids to L, the Tsadi/TS is closer to PLASTIC that the Greek or the IE “root.”
