UNTIL

Edenic Word

[A]hD

Hebrew Word

עד

Transliteration

Ayin-Dalet

Pronounciation

UDD

[vowel-D → nasalized (+N) vowel-T]

Roots

The Indo-European “root” of UNTIL is ant (front, forehead). For the nasal-dental sounde and sense of “front, forehead; see”ANTECEDEDENT.”   Webster’s writes that UNTIL was unto in Middle English. The nonhistoric L came from the Scandinavian til.  A nasalized (extra N) vowel-dental word meaning until is clearly עד Ayin-Dalet.  The UNTIL of space is in Genesis 14:14 (“until Dan”). The UNTIL of time is in Genesis 19:38 (“until today”).
